‘Nothing but something’ is a joint exhibition of two textile artists that has been prepared for nearly 1 year in order to disseminate their study and experience on MA Textile Design & Innovation at the College of Art & Design, Nottingham Trent University. This exhibition will show liberal and conceptual textile approaches combined with contemporary art; crossing boundaries and preconceptions.
Within the theme, ‘nothing but something’, two artists are trying to read stories behind visible things and finding unnoticed beauty in discarded materials. The visual outcomes question our perceptions, which are conditioned and are not always open to change.
Approximately 15 pieces of work will be displayed at the exhibition alongside video clips showing the working process.
